The aim for this project was to create a unique and sustainable package design for Oatie’s, an organic, whole-grain food brand. It was also important that the package have a secondary use in order to discourage consumers from discarding it. The process involved researching the competitors, establishing a brand identity and presenting multiple iterations of design concepts. I also built a variety of prototypes for the package and the product. With this project, I was able to work on the hands-on side of design and think more about production. It resulted in a bold and unique package design that will stand out on the shelves and from competitors. I came up with these concepts and the Oatie’s brand identity on my own. I developed every design element other than the image, nutrition label and certifications.
